The remote control can communicate with a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The Operation & Setting app is available on the App Store. It has large icons on a full touch screen. You can set parameters (e.g. temperature) in advance on the smartphone and the settings will be transmitted to the remote control by enabling BLE/Bluetooth transmission when entering the room. Popular for hotel rooms to save energy by allowing guest settings to take effect when guests enter your hotel room.
